This is my mom, and who could ask for a better one. Though she sets high expectations for her children, she is always very open and understanding and will never stand in the way of their dreams. She has supported me in everything I have done both emotionally and financially, and I will never forget it. I sometimes get upset with her, but even so, I always love her. Mom attended the University of California San Dieg and there received a B.A. in Sociology in 1978. Then, in 1996, she went on to receive her masters degree in education. She works as an educator at UT Health Center at Tyler.

This is my stepdad, who I have lived with since the time I was 2. He has been like a second father to me, always there when I needed to talk to someone. He has quite a different approach to discipline than my mom does. While my mom can be rather strict, Brad prefers to be more lenient. He grew up in Houston, then attended Lon Morriss college where he played basketball before becoming a Methodist minister. He is currently a public school history teacher and tennis coach at Van High School. He also leads the Senior High Youth Group at Van United Methodist Church.

My stepmom Arleen, formerly the manager of the Lake Jackson Dillards, has inspired my brother and I to begin many entreprenuial endeavors. On her suggestion, we began a neighborhood lawn care business which we ran during our summer visits to my dad's house. If Arleen has brought anything to the family with her, it is class. A woman of many social graces, Arleen is the life of any party. She also has a very adventurous personality, which has made her an essential companion for my Charlie, Dad, and me when in the mountains as well as at home.

My little sister Ashleigh is a true princess. She is a beautiful 6 year old girl, with a personality to match. Ashleigh is sweet and compassionate and is always concerned for those around her. She attends a private Catholic school and always remembers to say her prayers before dinner. She also takes classes in gymnastics and ballet. One day she become a beautiful young woman, but if any boy ever comes near her I will kill them! Just kidding.
